Mr. Prabath Chandrakirthi has been appointed because the Chief of Employees to the President. The related letter of appointment was handed over to him by President’s Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanaayake this morning (16) on the Presidential Secretariat.
Mr. Prabath Chandrakirthi, an officer of the Particular Grade of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, has served within the public service for 26 years up to now.
Mr. Chandrakirthi, who joined the Sri Lanka Administrative Service on February 15, 2000, was promoted to Grade I of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service in 2010 and obtained promotions to the Particular Grade in 2019.
He obtained his first appointment as Assistant Secretary to the Ministry of Schooling and Tourism of the Uva Provincial Council in 2001 and assumed duties as Assistant Divisional Secretary of Biyagama in 2003.
Subsequently, he was appointed as an Assistant Secretary on the Workplace of the Chief of the Home of the Sri Lankan Parliament in 2006, and was promoted to Senior Assistant Secretary there in 2010, serving in that place till 2015.
Thereafter, from April 2015 to October 2020, he served because the Director Common of the Coast Conservation Division. From October 2020 to December 2023, he additionally served because the Commissioner Common of Labour. Mr. Chandrakirthi, who was appointed because the Secretary to the Ministry of Surroundings, Wildlife, Forest Sources, Water Provide, Plantations, and Group Infrastructure in January 2024, additionally served because the Secretary to the Ministry of Plantations and Group Infrastructure from November 2024 up to now, and at the moment serves because the Commissioner Common of Important Providers.
